Jo Todd

Mat & Reformer Pilates

Hi, I'm Jo. I've been teaching fitness for over 35 years and have loved every minute of helping people move, feel stronger and enjoy exercise. For over 20 years, I worked as a Sport & Fitness Lecturer at a local sixth form college, where I inspired students to develop confidence, knowledge and a lifelong appreciation for health and wellbeing.

A few years ago, I decided it was time for a new challenge and followed my passion into Pilates, qualifying as both a Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor.

My background in fitness continues to shape the way I teach today. Alongside Reformer Pilates, I also lead Sculpt classes that are strength-focused sessions designed to build functional strength, improve muscular endurance and help you move with greater confidence in everyday life. Whether we're using the reformer, dumbbells, resistance bands or bodyweight, my aim is always to create classes that are welcoming, engaging and effective.

I love incorporating movement in all planes to improve strength, mobility and balance, while ensuring every class flows seamlessly from start to finish. My years of teaching Exercise to Music have given me a strong foundation in creating sessions that are motivating, well-paced and enjoyable for everyone.

Whether you're completely new to Pilates or have years of experience, you'll find a supportive environment where you can challenge yourself at your own pace. My goal is for you to leave every class feeling stronger, more mobile, energised and ready for whatever life throws your way.

I look forward to welcoming you to the studio!
